In addition to the London Farmers' Market Association, which supports most London Farmers' Markets, Wimbledon Park is sponsored by First School under June Pack, the Headmistress. The result is spectacular. There's a board as you come in welcoming the arrival of a new producer. In this case, Steve from the Morghew Park Estate of Tenterden who sells twelve different types of potatoes. There are many regulars like the juice maker from Chegworth Valley, which can be seen at several of the capital's markets, selling its wide range of bottled fresh juices. There's the family run March House Farm selling beef, lamb and pork from Leicestershire. That day they had a wonderful selection of beef cuts like brisket, topside and silverside. The rack of lamb and succulent cuts of pork, covered in crackling, looked gorgeous.
If it’s fish you're after then you'll be delighted to stop at the fish stall from Dorset which had conger eel, line caught sea bass, a beautiful selection of sea and shell fish and mackerel. Another regular is The Flour Station which is a local bakery manned by Bob. By the time we got there they were virtually sold out but I managed to get the last small granary before it went.

There's lots more here as well: another butcher, Griffin Farm of Wiltshire, winners of awards for its paté, bacon and faggots. It also sells black pudding if your arteries need a little extra coking. There are two fruit & veg stalls, a flower man and two cheese stalls…all to be found in a good market serving local people with real food.
Places of Interest
For grazing head off to Wimbledon Village where there's an abundance of good restaurants and eateries. For pubs, both on Wimbledon Common, try the Fox & Grapes on Camp Road or the Hand in Hand at 7, Crooked Billet. Both serve food. For amusement take a stroll across Wimbledon Common or visit the Wimbledon Tennis museum.
